Special Guest Abstract Artist - Ms. Mary Eastwood along with Deborah Ducharme will be teaching our Wee Wisdom children the fundamentals of acrylic painting on canvas. Please let Deborah know if your child/ren will be attending in order to arrange supplies. Please have them wear a old shirt as a 'cover-up' to protect their clothing from paints and/or dress them accordingly.

To view some of Ms. Eastwood's art please visit her website at http://www.etsy.com/shop/eastwoodart
More about Mary Eastwood: I was always doodling as a kid ... put a pencil or pen in my hand & something happened to the pages around me. I picked up painting when my daughter went to Art school & we had to buy supplies. I loved the feel of good paper, the transparent colors of the paints ... and I decided I needed to set my own brush to paper!

Life's situations inspire me. A leaf on the ground. Light at a certain time of day. The shadow's on the road, or the fog under a night light on the highway. I paint & then hang it on the wall to see what strikes me to do more. What makes me happy is sharing my work with others & I am thrilled when someone is in love with a piece of artwork that fits perfectly in their home.

Unity's Wee Wisdom Five Basic Principles

1. God is all good and active in everything, everywhere. (Omnipotent, Omniscience, Omnipresent)

2. I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me and in everyone.

3. I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.

4. Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.

5. I do and give my best by living the Truth I know. I make a difference!

Affirmation: I am a Child of God and God loves me!

Our Wee Wisdom Children`s Church Pianist Andjelika leads the children in teaching them a song or two. One is the Unity Prayer of Faith Song.

The Prayer of Faith
by Hannah More Kohaus

God is my help in every need;
God does my every hunger feed;
God walks beside me, guides my way
Through every moment of this day.

I now am wise, I now am true,
Patient and kind, and loving, too;
All things I am, can do, and be,
Through Christ the Truth, that is in me.

God is my health, I can't be sick;
God is my strength, unfailing, quick;
God is my all, I know no fear,
Since God and Love and Truth are here.

We share the "Good!" that happens in our week with each other.
We read a story together and/or watch a DVD movie with important messages for our growth and development spiritually.
A relevant Bible verse is shared and talked about.
Most of the themes are about character builders i.e. honesty, courage, patience, acceptance and the use of our 12 invisible Spiritual powers i.e. Love, Life, Strength etc. www.unitytoronto.ca/index.php?primary=1&secondary=201
We play interactive games and have delicious snacks.

On Thanksgiving Day Sunday we spoke about the Invisible Power of Love and the invisible string that connects us to everyone and to God at all times and that Love is the invisible ingredient that we put into all the things we do to show our Love for God and people in keeping with our church 'motto' "Love God - Love People!"
So, we made homemade cookies including the invisible ingredient ``Love`` and all made our individual prayers over the batter while we were mixing the ingredients and placing the cookie dough onto the baking sheets. We decorated the cookies with frosting, sprinkles and real fruit jubes. At our `cookie station` the adults were invited to guess what our magic ingredient was and if they guessed it right, they got a cookie and a ribbon.

This is an overview. If you have any specific questions kindly let me know.

Loving blessings,
